Below are a few details to facilitate your travel to Accra and participation in the AFRIWOCC:

Dates and Venue
The conference will be held from 15th – 17th May, 202 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC)
The specific location will be the main auditorium. The committee at the AICC will be used for breakout sessions. `
NB: You may be approached for an interview during the event.
On the day of the event, registration will begin in the foyer of the auditorium
The time for registration is 0800 – 0900hrs
There will be ushers to assist you dressed in a uniform attire with an African print detail
At registration, please, provide your boarding pass
Registration
Travel
Please endeavour to be at the airport at least 2 hours before take-off.
Departure would be dependent on the flight schedule.
Departure from the hotel is two (2) hours before the flight.
Should any of the guests decide to arrive in Accra earlier than the conference date and time shown on their tickets, or to depart later than the date and time indicated on their tickets, they may only do so at their own cost.
At the airport there will be a welcome desk of the AMC to receive you
Ground Transport
Ground transport for airport-hotel-airport pick up/drop off for international participants will be provided.
There will be a driver to pick you up from the airport. Please look out for AMC
Tourism/Entertainment
At the opening ceremony, you will experience an abridged version of a UNESCO endorsed magnificent display of Africa’s arts and culture in a form of a theatrical performance dubbed “The Second Coming of Nkrumah”
Participants will experience some of Ghana’s amazing tourist site such as the iconic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park, the historic Black Star Square, James Fort and many more.
Accommodation
Below are the hotels we have spoken with for discounted rates for all international guests.
Marriot Hotel ($250 to $330)
Labadi Beach Hotel ($220 to $300)
Airport West Hotel ($80 to 100$)
Accra City Hotel ($160 to $200)
SNNIT Guest House ($50 to $100)
The hotel provides a bed and breakfast.
The guest will be responsible for paying all additional fees, including laundry, room service, etc.
Outlets
For Ghana, there are two associated plug types:
type D and predominantly type G.
Ghana operates on a 230V supply voltage and a 50Hz frequency.
Meals
Lunch will be provided at the conference venue. There will be ushers as well as directions leading guests there.

Healthcare
Participants may be required to show relevant certificates/vaccination records for Yellow Fever (yellow booklet) along with their passports on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport
It is the responsibility of guests to ensure that they carry with them proper Health/Vaccination documentation.
This will be set up at the exhibition stand
The national Ambulance service will be stationed at the event grounds for first aid purposes. In case of an emergency, do speak to an usher for support
Exchange Rate
The currency of Ghana is the Ghana Cedi

Course Documents
Stationery materials will be provided at the registration desk.
This will include a vacuum flask, a notepad, a pen, and a file.
